Eco-Printing: Domestic technique of textile printing using the leaves of Rose Indica

Clothing is one of the basic needs human being; it has many functions like protection, identification, modesty, status and adornment. Human beings always loved to adorn their body clothes by various techniques value addition. Printing with colours are them. There printing which can be used print at domestic level block printing, screen stencil hand etc. One latest eco printing. It a technique putting parts plants into layers fabric steaming them for specific time period. Rose Indica (Rose flower) have medicinal property, petal rose flower in edible cosmetic products, but almost all cases leaves this plant discarded. In experimental study an effort been made develop botanic on silk cotton fabric, standardizing process testing colourfastness prints. Developed prints were tested washing, dry cleaning, perspiration, rubbing, sunlight exposure following ISO AATCC standards, as no harmful chemicals used, developed products also considered eco-friendly. Results shows that printed clear bright colours; produces excellent colour fastness cleaning crocking exhibit poor sunlight.
